About Antyke
How I got started...
Growing up in Vermont I always loved old stuff, from wandering in the woods collecting bottles from old farm dumps to attending auctions. Old stuff led me to study of Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of Vermont. I worked as a field archaeologist for the University of Vermont, University of Maine and as a Volunteer for the Department of Belizean Archeology in the US Peace Corps in Belize. After my digging days, I returned to Central America and imported traditional handicrafts and opened my first store selling ethnographic art and antiques. I have worked as a presenter and moderator on USAID-funded symposiums on importing hand-crafted items from international artisans. Over the years, I expanded into liquidating estates, and several projects with movie prop buyers got me into industrial antiques.
Now I'm in East Tennessee!
After over 20 years in Southern New England, I finally convinced my wife to move to the mountains of East Tennessee. (Reminds me of where I grew up in Vermont but without all the snow!) On our 30 acre farm in Vonore! I want to help you downsize or antique collection or liquidate your estate. Through a combination of onsite estate sales and online sales I can get you the best return for your items with nationwide and international sales. I can customize a sales plan to maximize your return.

I have completed Eli Wilner's Identification of Antique Frames class in New York. Eli Wilner Company is the country's preeminent supplier and restorer of antique frames.
Over twenty years of selling at the largest antique market in New England, the Brimfield Antique Market. For years, my shop, Antyke in Scituate, Rhode Island, was my center of operations for Auctions, Wholesale Antiques, and Antique Industrial Equipment. Antyke attracted dealers from Maine to California.
